"look and think"

click the images for greater detail. like always.

nearing the entrance to the museum. all of the statues on the grounds are from the original museum grounds, completely refurbished. the glass area at the top of the tower is the viewing floor. you get a 360-degree view of the city from up there.

another of the original statues. behind this statue of robert emmet is the latest construction project, the rebuilding of the steinhart aquarium/academy of sciences. the oldest section of the original aquarium is being saved. the rest will be all-new, like the de young. this is directly across from the museum. behind the statue is one massive crane, which we watched hoisting massive steel beams through the air. behind the crane is sutro tower.

the head of delilah. she is of the smoothest, most luscious-looking marble.

my cappucino, which i enjoyed outdoors in the springtime sun.

the tower of the de young museum, seen from the bandshell area. it is made of textured copper.

I love the shot of your cafe -- the cup seems to be floating in darkest space!
