My long-gone mama used to tell me that people in mental hospitals were fed bananas every day in the interest of improving their mental health. That always struck me as an odd thing to say, but I ate them anyway. Back in the summer of love, my stepsister taught me to make one of the strangest sandwiches ever made. Which I admit I enjoy to this day. Peanut butter, banana, and a dollop of mayonnaise. Yeah, I know.
Besides an abundance of apple bananas and Rapoza mangoes, our white Kadota fig tree is producing like mad, so I'll can a batch of fig jam today.
