I used to make bread a lot but haven't for quite some time. I still have your apple pie in the freezer, waiting for some worthy guest to share it with. Our last guests could not eat wheat!
Ha! I couldn't give a rat's ass about the creepy Catholics... Had enough of that torture as a kid, thanks. Anytime anything about the Vatican comes on the tube, we change it rapidly. Far more important things to think about in the world, like the latest news on the NYC soda ban, for instance!! Not!
The man's gluten free bread is getting pretty popular at our little market... And he sold all his apple and blueberry pies yesterday, too. He is the baker in our relationship, which is fine by me!
I find the pope thing very interesting from a cultural and ceremonial stand point, couldn't really care less who they chose and what he winds up doing after the fact.
I see your point, but after catholic school in my childhood and all the sexual miscreant clergy, it mostly disgusts and perplexes me...I can't grasp how or why people still believe anything they say.
