It's almost over. Kind of like a horse race, when you wish someone would put that poor, injured horse out of his misery. These are good days to avert my bleary eyes and do things like work outside. Watching my fellow citizens spew their long-held bigoted opinions as though they are somehow justified is just too much for me to take. I always knew that plenty of folks see the world much differently than me. What I didn't know is how stupid a certain segment of this country is. Scary stupid. And they've found their leader in John McCain.Off to plant prunella vulgaris....

So, at Myrt's wedding today, some of the guests' dinner conversation turned to politics (I KNOW! AT A WEDDING!! CRAZY!!!) They decided to challenge each other to create new adjectives with the root word "maverick," because we're fucking sickandgoddamnedtired of that stupidfucking word.
My favorite new word was "mavericulous."
Maverick + ridiculous = mavericulous
Here, let me use it in a sentence for you:
In these more enlightened times, bigotry is so fucking mavericulous, it just makes me want to hang certain white people from trees.

They SMILE like all get-out...in fact, check out that immigration thread of mine, which has turned into a big free-for-all. First she is threatening to shoot me, next, she wants us to have tea.
